LEGAL
ASPECTS OF EMPLOYMENT
Due to the complexity, ambiguity, and number of laws,
guidelines, and executive orders regarding employment discrimination,
compliance for managers is not always a simple matter. This course was
developed to help managers become aware of the scope of legal aspects
confronting them in the employment process (hiring, promotion, discipline,
evaluation, and termination) and to explore the rationale for such
regulations. Managers and those exhibiting supervisory potential
should take this course.
lISTENING SKILLS COURSE
The problem isn't getting
people to talk......the problem is getting people to listen. Listening
skills are essential tools for effective managers, supervisors, clerical
personnel, and other employees. This course will assist you in
improving your listening skills which will benefit you both professionally
and personally. This course is designed for employees interested in
improving their listening skills.
MANAGING EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
In today's highly competitive business world, an organization's
labor-management relationship can often "make or break" its ability to adapt
quickly to a changing environment and survive long-term. Successful
companies have recognized the advantage of building and sustaining positive,
collaborative, partnering relationships with employees.
Administrators, human resource professionals, managers and/or supervisors
will learn how to begin the process of redefining or rebuilding their
relationship with labor. Partnering effectively can motivate and
inspire employees, leading to increased morale and productivity, thereby
positioning the organization for the future.
MANAGING ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE
CHANGE - we hate it! We fight it! But change is
inevitable and it is occurring rapidly! Thousands of companies, like
yours, are reeling from the effects of repeated waves of downsizing,
restructuring, reengineering, and merger mania. We waste precious
energy if we resist, get angry, or give in to grief over all that's being
lost. We jeopardize our future if we cling to old assumptions and
expectations. This course, designed for managers and supervisors, will
teach you how to positively manage change in your organization.
OFFICE PROFESSIONALISM AND BEYOND
It's time to realize your worth! You
are a professional who makes a valuable contribution to your office.
You have power, and you can learn how to use that power. You deserve
the recognition for the skills you use every day. Analyze what those
skills are worth and learn to get the recognition they deserve. Would
you like to have that mighty and invisible power that can enable you to do
the impossible? Self-assertion is the miracle worker of all ages.
One of the most important by-products of self-assertion is self-empowerment.
But it just doesn't happen - it's strictly a do-it-yourself project.
Come and learn how to empower yourself by recognizing and accepting your
potential. This course is designed for office professionals.

managers and supervisors with the skills and confidence to conduct those
normally "dreaded" Employee Performance Reviews (Performance Appraisals),

to the workplace, with special attention paid to what specific factors are
used by the court to determine what workplace conduct rises to the level of
sexual harassment. Discussion will take place about what effect sexual
harassment or conduct that may rise to the level of sexual harassment has on
the victim and the workplace, as well as what employees should do if they
believe they are subject to unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature or if they
are made aware of a possible complaint of sexual harassment. This
course, designed for any employee, is an educational tool, not a therapy
session.

organisms? Think again. Can a person be toxic to those around him/her? The

concerns such as increased production, decreased resources, and pay and
benefits issues to name a few. Add to this a toxic individual and the stress
