This workshop will define stress and the effects of stress from physical, emotional, mental and productivity perspectives. Participants will learn to recognize their own sources of stress, and several ways to manage them. Over the course of the day participants will learn many simple, easy "stress-busters" to use anytime they need to become less tense, more calm, regain composure and/or a relaxed mind and body. New awareness and motivation will come from the knowledge of the effect of food on mood, physiological and psychological factors, catastrophe thinking, cognitive re-patterning, the role of lifestyle flow, decision making and signature strengths. The day is "hands-on", with experiential exercises, guided imagery, a self-administered stress test, group discussion and discovery. This workshop is for anyone who feels pulled in every direction; feels scattered as deadlines loom; is deeply affected by violence or sadness in the world-at-large; is taking care of too many others with too little support; or anyone who needs to find new and improved ways to relieve stress.
