 JET, Inc. Gerontology Certificate Program

Objective;

To provide a well-rounded base of knowledge used in caring for the elderly. These courses may be used to fulfill the yearly 12-hour mandated continuing education credits for nursing assistants certification.

 

Who Should Attend:

This program is designed for those who work with the elderly.

 

Completion Requirements:

Successful completion of all courses in each Level.

Participants must complete Level I before Level II and Levels I and II before Level Ill.

 

Basic - Level I

  • A JET Communication course of your choice

  • A JET Death & Dying course of your choice

  • A JET Infection Control course of your choice

  • Normal Aging and Physical Needs of the Elderly

  • Maintaining Skin Integrity

 

Intermediate - Level II

  • A JET Gerontology course at your choice

  • A JET Legal & Ethical course of your choice

  • A JET Stress course of your choice

  • A JET Team course of your choice

  • Customer Service: It’s All About Attitude

 

 

Advanced - Level Ill

  • Three JET Gerontology courses of your choice

  • Listening Skills Course

  • Geriatric Rehabilitation Techniques
